Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent

Earlier this month, developers behind Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent thru their official Twitter account revealed the English version will be coming this year in North America and Europe. More news will be shared in mid-February.

As what they had promised, Yesterday  Square Enix’s Youtube channel released a new trailer to announce that Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent closed beta sign up. Registration for the closed beta is available for Android devices but only available in certain regions. This is great news for those who have been waiting to try this game without needing to worry about the language barrier.

According to the google play page, there will be a massive roster, with over 64 characters available at launch that let players explore an endless combination of characters to build the ultimate team. The game soundtrack will still be handled by the original Octopath Traveler’s composer, Yasunori Nishiki.

Here is the latest Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent trailer.

Similar to Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space, Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is a single player RPG [free to play] with some gacha elements. The original Octopath Traveler first released on Nintendo Switch back in 2018.

Another similarity between Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space and Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is that both of the titles are quite long to pronounce. Sorry, I’m not good at making jokes.

Anyway, for those who already played the JP version, feel free to share your opinion in the comment below.
